Gentle Ways to Connect with Nature

The heart-guided woman longs to connect with nature. Yet she wants to do so in ways that feel gentle and easeful rather than like more things for her to-do list. For her, here are five gentle ways to connect with nature.

1. Noticing

One gentle way for the intuitive woman to connect with nature is by noticing it. As she goes about her day, what does she notice? What are the shapes of the clouds? What do the branches of the trees and bushes look like at present? What sounds can she hear? What birds, insects, or animals does she come across? How does the air feel?

2. Walking

A short, slow walk outside, especially when combined with noticing, is another gentle way to connect with nature. The heart-guided woman doesn’t have to travel far either. Walking through her neighborhood or around a nearby park allows her to connect both with her body through gentle movement and with nature.

3. Collecting

While on a walk or in her own yard, she can collect things from nature. This might be a stone, an acorn, wildflowers, or fall leaves. These can, then, be placed somewhere inside her home to remind her of her connection with nature. That could be on a nature altar, a windowsill, a bookshelf, or a desk.

4. Using all of the senses

If the weather allows for it, the intuitive woman can go outside, even briefly, and use all of her senses to connect with nature. She can ground herself by placing her feet on the grass, sand, or earth. She can look for signs that denote the current season. Closing her eyes, she can listen to the sounds of nature all around her. She can pay attention to the smells and the way the fresh air feels as she breathes deeply for a few moments.

5. Aligning with the current season

Another gentle, beautiful way for the heart-guided woman to connect with nature is to live in alignment with the current season. In winter, she might spend more time in stillness and rest while nature, too, is slumbering. In spring, she might set intentions for the year that she wishes to grow and to be outside more as nature wakes up. In summer, she might choose more active pursuits, since nature is also flourishing. And in autumn, she might turn her attention to reflection and letting go, mirroring again, what nature is doing at this time of year.

To connect with nature is important to the intuitive, heart-guided woman, and she can do so in gentle ways. Spending a few moments each day with nature can allow her to slow down, to simply be, and to easily add a little more wonder and joy to her life.
