Gentle heart
What is a gentle heart?
To have a gentle heart is to show yourself compassion, love, and gentleness. This sacred, deep part of you has been with you from birth; it’s the part of you that longs to gently hold you through life. Because it already exists within you, having a gentle heart is about reconnecting with this part of yourself. The more you listen to and honor your gentle heart, the greater your capacity to be compassionate with yourself.
How do you have a gentle heart?
Since you already have the ability within you to treat yourself with gentleness, one way to reconnect with this part of you is to ask yourself these questions: What would I say to myself right now if I was responding with a gentle heart? What would my gentle heart want me to remember in this situation? How would I gently validate what I’m feeling and/or experiencing?
